Hiram posted only the first part of Fred Dawson's
article. The parts omitted are actually quite interesting.
First, it seems that William Kennard managed to convince
Thomas Bliley to abandon the TGNT issue in exchange for
a severe reprimand of the FCC officials involved in the
400Mhz spectrum decision. Another item which will probably
interest Gentleman-Boyle on the Yahoo thread is that is that
a company called Ensemble is putting IP packets over
TDM wireless slots without using ATM cells. Finally, it
seems that Ericcson will enter the P-MP equipment
arena, but with a QPSK modulation scheme, which is
extremely unimpressive compared to what P-Com is developing.
