Good point, I said almost the exact same thing. But it is also important to realize that the industry is in transition, driven by Dell among other factors. As the 'big 3' drive channel inventory down to 2-4 weeks, the quarterly analysis will be much more reflective of sales to customers.

Gary, you are correct -- over time, and when smoothed, the numbers ought to be the same. The point behind my post was that one period's results are frequently distorted because of changing inventory levels within the distribution channels.
