Any ideas as to what LSI will do in the next two weeks? I sold some OCT 12 1/2 covered calls a couple of weeks ago. I'm wondering if I should buy them back.

RE: You can get a your own DVD recorder for around $16K

Hmmm... that I did not know.

Bear Market - aren't we in one already? Check these stats:

smallcapinvestor.com

The MicroCap50 gave back 32.67 points (-6.45%) last week to close at
473.98. The MicroCap50 is down 34.67% in 1998 and is 43.63% below its 1998 high of 840.88.

The Russell 2000, a smallcap stock index, lost 19.31 points (-5.23%)
last week to close at 349.71. The Russell 2000 is down 19.98% in 1998 and has fallen 28.96% from its 1998 high.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 244.08 points last week (-3.04%)
to close at 7784.69. The Dow is down 1.56% in 1998 and is 16.90% below its 1998 high. [shane's add: and the turds are whining!
compare with 29% and 44% down!]

From Heartland Advisors (small cap value originally):

"The Darkest Hour is just before Dawn" [hmmm... just a bit early]

As of August 31, 1998 the majority of NYSE listed companies
were down 30% or more from their 52 week highs. In the same period
of time, small cap stocks (market capitalizations of $250 million
or less) have fared even worse, with an average decline of 54% from
their peaks.

Yup and we are just about to enter or barely into a bear market. Yup sure. The small caps make S.Korea look good (slight
extension of the truth).

Another example of fear:

For the first time ever I have been getting plenty of letters
advertising money market funds. Here's one from Zurich - 2nd line:
The stability of principal provides you with a comfort
level during all types of market conditions.
