Supply of weapons to Iran during the Iran-Iraq war had little to do with the relations between U.S. and Iran and more to do with the U.S. interests and the world's interests. Iraq was in the process of winning the war in the early 80's. Everyone, including the Russians, Chinese, Europeans, and Saudi Arabia, was supplying both sides throughout the war to in order to achieve a stalemate. My response to you was just to indicate that both impeachment processes are focused on the lying and the cover-up, not the actual acts.
