I agree completely... This is now a day to day and week to week market... We are still within the context of a BEAR market... So, until proven otherwise, rallies should be viewed as BEAR traps... Earnings drive stock prices... With earnings heading south, stock prices will find it very hard to head north regardless of the interest rate environment... And, as you said, if and when the consumer stops spending, watch out!!! In the meantime buying the indexes after sharp 5% drops has been good for 2 to 3% rallies... Jim
