Good points.. Savant, ROS has mostly ancient Soviet area telecom equipment, while VIP has modern wireless stuff. But VIP has too pay for that equipment in American $$, while ROS has to pay people. I agree that the 135K is the elite, and they can afford it. Last I heard the CEO (on CNBC I believe), he said they were moving to Muscovites who were more price conscious, i.e., the middle class. Me, I am waiting to see what the next quarterly report brings for VIP. I am not keeping my fingers crossed. In the meantime, I'll stay in touch with Natasha. For obvious reasons, I cannot post on developments at Rostelkom. But it is not insider information for me to get word ont he general state of the Russian telecommunications industry. I'll keep this baord informed...all 4 four us <g>. DocStone
