I've heard there is a way to correct text accidentally
typed with the cap locks on instead of retyping the text.
Anybody know if this is true and how it's done?

If you mean with an HTML tag, I don't think so. You could copy the data to a word processor, do it there, and then paste it back. It's usually not worth the trouble.
