Berney,

Sure, here it is:

Date.......Advance....Decline

8/28/98.....918.......-2213
8/31/98Mon..399.......-2880
...........2017.......-1221
...........1869.......-1255
............999.......-2094
...........1493.......-1524
9/8/98 Tue.2500........-611 (holiday Monday)
............906.......-2155
............801.......-2363
...........2000.......-1042
9/14/98Mon.2097.......-1006
...........1744.......-1302
...........1839.......-1201
............839.......-2240
...........1894.......-1120
9/21/98Mon.1290.......-1770
...........1902.......-1147
...........2362........-783
...........1068.......-2023
...........1400.......-1640
9/28/98Mon.1756.......-1291
...........1514.......-1519
...........1191.......-1919
............809.......-2424
...........1714.......-1291
________ ________

..........37,231.....-40,034

Pardon all those dots, but I saw no other way to keep the post from scrambling otherwise. Notice that over the next two days, more than 4,000
declines will be subtracted against about 1200
advances. If the market did nothing for the next
two days and the a/d was evenly split until
Wednesday, the net a/d cumulative sum will still be almost 2700 advances over declines. So, the signal is ready if any solid rally occurs on Monday.

The numbers may vary depending on what source you use to get these numbers, but they won't vary
much to make any meaningful difference
overall.

and take responsibility for our actions.

Not any more Berney. The IMF or Fed Reserve will cover your losses. :-)

Berney,

I might add that today doesn't look positive, but it's very early. There may not be a signal if the numbers are negative for the next two days, it will be selling as usual. But, watch what happens to the markets within days after or if it ever turns positive.

Later...
