~~~~~OT~~~~~~
More back to whales and aboriginal peoples.
I would think we could open up for the Viking peoples the good old days of raping and pillaging.
Of course, they have another outlet for their energies. They could run for political office and take out their frustrations on the American people.
But seriously folks, I thought whaling was still going on in Iceland. Correct me if I am wrong.
:o)
**OT** Whales and aboriginals
Thanks for the temperate reply. I apologize for preaching about behavior. I do say that if a big powerful nation makes a treaty with a small weak one that the BPN should observe it, especially if it chooses to set up courts to enforce treaties, even if the terms turn out to be onerous. If BPN chooses to modify the terms, for whatever reason, it compensate for loses. I think it is fruitless to try to correct most historical crimes because even if they were unethical from some points of view, they were not de jure crimes. Some we can try to fix because our national honor is involved and the procedures already exist. In the poetic language of time, some treaties were made to last "while the grass grows and the waters run."
