Mark, Most brokers are terrible from what I have found so far.
I have done some readings on the "brokerage" threads. Most people have had terrible experiances with the traditional online brokers like
Discover/Lombard Brokerage and even E-Trade. Complaint ranged from very slow execution to buying up to 4000 shares for customers without their knowledge. One guy said that he asked his brokers if they purchased any stocks for him and they said no. Their website showed no transactions that have executed for purchase. Two weeks later he learned that they bought him 4000 shares!! Horrible stories and loss of thousands of dollars are quoted. Most brokerage did not respond to people complaints and ignored them all together. I am planning on contacting the SEC "www.sec.com" for my situation with Discover if they don't provide a proof that I messed up and I am sure I did not.
Stories about wrong execution on behalf of customers because of bad
softwares abound. I wanted to share these things with every one so you won't get hit with a loss of thousands of dollars before you find
out how bad a brokerage is. Good ratings by Barons and the like are not worth a shit since Discover claim that they have been selected
as number one by Barons for five years in a row. Good luck trading
