What is disputed is who wrote them (Monica or one of Clinton's advisors). As to Travelgate, it is fairly well documented because of the criminal trial of Billy Dale. Filegate, of course, has never been denied by Clinton or his staff. They have explained it away as a bureaucratic snafu, an innocent mistake. Possession of the files was acknowledged by Clinton's staff. On the other hand, you absolutely should keep an open mind until the evidence is in. That may not happen until 2030 or so, but someday the truth will come out. From what I have read of Travelgate, a grave injustice was done, but it was orchestrated by Harry Thomason and some other lower level people, not by the Clintons, at least not at first. They believed bad information and acted on it too quickly. After that, it was back to damage control (use of the IRS and FBI).
