>>As of yet, no information has been released about who bought these bonds, even though that sort of thing is illegal. I'll bet they were probably bought by AMZN's underwriters as nobody else would touch them.

I figure either you don't have a clue, or you're a liar. Which is it?

Thank you for correcting me Glenn, I had almost forgot that while the repayment value
of the bonds was closer to 550 million, Amazon only received 300 million in cash
because of the extreme risk involved in this junk.

OC,

That happens with this type of bond.

.As of yet, no information has been
released about who bought these bonds, even though that sort of thing is illegal.

I am not certain a list of bondholders is required. I admit to know little about bonds.

Glenn

OC, Do you know when exactly that junk bond money was raised? Wasn;t it a little before the time when AMZN started to rocket up squeezing short sellers? Is there a connection here? Could it be that Morgan Stanley had more AMZN's corporate money to 'play' with in its market making function? Selling fat premium puts and squeezing shorts? I just can't buy that the junk bond money meant so much to the company's fundamental as to triple stock price in 2 months.
