How many blizzards do you think there are in Wisconsin during winter? To answer the question, only a few. We deliver to off the road job sites 5 days a week. (these are the toughest deliveries) Those few days when we also have -40 wind chill factor or below, we normally do not deliver because the sites are not working. Too hard on the equipment and work force. Same can hold true during the spring and summer during heavier rains. I can only advise what the construction industry actually does here in Wisconsin during winter. We work. Just as the construction workers must face the heat of Texas and Florida during the summer. Our industries and labor forces have adapted to the extreme conditions. We do not shut down. Heat and wind creates just as many problems for producing and finishing excellent concrete products. Mixes are constantly being adjusted because of the weather conditions. Weather can be a problem year round, but the industry works, nationwide. It is a misconception we shut down as we did 15 years ago. Hope this helps everyone interested.
