Krash - Re: " WE KNOW the K7 will be at least 500Mhz and the FSB will run at 200Mhz. This has been reported many many times."

WE KNOW THAT?

That 500 MHz seems like a low target especially in light of Intel's impending 500 MHz Katmai launch in Q199.

By the way, Kash-poor, where are all those K7 published benchmarks showing K7 superiority ?

You are just admitting that you spout off pure HYPE - telling others to back up their claims while you wimp out by not producing a shred of K7 data on your own.

Re: " In a year they have come out with 5 flavors of the PII with slight differences to convince customers to pay a wide range of prices."

AMD has come out wig 5 flavors of the K6 with only slight differences and have convinced customers to pay less and less with each new version.

Sounds like a cool plan to make a lot of money - doesn't it?

Paul

Re: "The facts are in Intels latest Xeons are 5% faster than the PII."

Kash, do you think Compaq, IBM, Dell, HP etc etc are stupid? Why do you think they are willing to pay 3x for a Xeon compared to a PII if all they get is 5% more performance. They are using Xeon for the TpmC advantage. Get a clue.
