Ben two consecutive monthly opts expir at $120 ? That's stability

Noticed accumulation at $119 - 120 in Friday's action :

traders.com

ORCL's earnings warning will somehow implicate IBM . It has now been posted twice but actually touts IBM's sales agressiveness:

" Oracle said its competitors in that market -- principally International Business Machines Corp..... -- are offering deep
discounts to try to recapture or gain market share in the relational database market. "

dailynews.yahoo.com

If IBM becomes silent until 10/16 opts expir, then it looks like old times again , where the price rockets upward after expirations on better than expected earnings .

Back to the future ? A few years back this was routine .

The IBM Oct'98 Max-Pain Point&#153 is $120, AMAT closed at $128 3/16.

With three days to go till Oct'98 open interest expiration, I updated the Max-Pain&#153 option analysis graphs based on last night's CBOE (10/13/98) open interest strike prices and volume.

The Max-Pain Point&#153 definition and graphs are at one of my favorite links.
