ALL of the verification data is inside the "right" quadrants of the stats screen.

For excellent net fitness, you should have a near solid black line in the stats window for training data. With the verification data, you won't have enough dots to make a solid line, but if you image them connected, they should make a line. Just being in the "right" quadrant isn't good enough.

I mean the short side also, except that I am ill equipped with the knowledge or the skills necessary to avoid losing my shirt. Would you be kind enough to point me to a good site that explains the short-trading basics?
