That is because it is a synchronous motor and as the field is weaker there is less resistance in the coils and the motor can spin faster. The best thing to do with irksome time is to waste it. Thinking of clever things to do with time and meeting deadlines is the stupidest thing you can do as there are too many variables to possibly predict what may happen of you do this or that.
