<<I must admit that I do think that many of the same Southern evangelist denominations, subgroups, etc. (and even families) that are now adherents of the RR agenda, were previously staunch opponents of integration, and civil rights laws generally.>>

Once again, you're judging the multitudes by a few! Not all Southerners were opposed to integration. Not all Southerners are a part of the RR. Not all Southerners are racist!!! There are some Northerners that are pretty racial!!! There are some left coasters that are racial and radical!!! Please stop trying to do the "guilt by association" analogy on every issue! The RR might be people you'd like if you ever got to know what the average RR person is about!!!

Now for a joke! This newspaper guy was walking down the street when he saw this man rescue a young boy being attacked by a dog. The man grabbed the dog and slammed it to the ground, killing it. The newspaper man praised the man, calling him a hero. He told him his newspaper headline the next day would read "Local Hero Rescues Boy From Attacking Dog". The man said I'm not from here. The newspaperman said ok, the headline will read "Georgia Hero Rescues Boy From Attacking Dog" and the man said "I'm not from Georgia, I'm from Connecticut". The next day the headline read "Yankee Kills Family Pet"!!! <vbg>
