And it's not surprising, because there are three roughly equal parties, no single party dominates the rest of the world, and nobody feels particularly responsible for the trouble that may or may not become really serious. Fist priority is selfpreservation. Note that no government as a whole considers super high levels of stock markets desirable, nor considers it terribly important what specific levels they trade at. The only exception is a part of US government, namely political parts of the administration, who correctly feel that Clinton's political standing will suffer much should the stocks decline further.
