New World Order?(at least for coming year)

If Brazil tanks, all NA-block currencies will come under pressure(dollar already has against mark-interesting to see that mark/dollar and gold/dollar is essentially the same graph, for obvious reasons). The falling yields in the US is also positive, as gold's allure increases in the eyes of investors. As foreign money, which entered the US en masse in the last 3 years, leave in search of greener pastures, gold will probably shine once more. And a market meltdown on wall street is also a distinct possibility at this point.

I think that the current crisis is merely a structural adjustment, and in the long run all economies will doubtlessly rebound. However, a few big disasters(ie brazil devaluation) lie ahead of us before the storm will be settled. Interesting to note than kinross is trading lower than what it was the last time gold was trading at 300/oz.
