Jack, actually, Leibnitz really invented calculus (and some say that Newton stole it from him), but Newton was a true genius in that he could see in something everyone saw (a falling apple) what no one else saw. Take Hooks for example, the discoverer of the cell, it is said that the cell would have not been discovered unless Hook developed the microscope, wrong, all one needed in biology is a genius of the measure of Newton, everyone has seen an "egg", a single cell quite visible without a microscope, but no biological genius was present to say, "Ah, a cell, the basis of all leaving creatures". Not even that genius Maimonides.
