I goofed...it's Multiwave, not Microwave, at 12.13.4.10
I didn't see anything at Seagate's site about the 8gig being discontinued either, but under "Detail Specs" at Multiwave's inventory listing for the unit there's a note on a line for Class Restrictions that reads "Discontinued by Manufacturer", and the price listing reads "While supply lasts"...same notation for both IDE and SCSI versions. I'm assuming all this means the unit is being dc'ed, but it could mean something else I suppose...in any case it's an excellent price. Best price until Friday was $188 at CompUPlus and they're closed until the 15th for a holiday.

I bought a SCSI one new 5 months ago from www.compuplus.com for $195.00....
