Don,

Bob's listeners would certainly understand if he decides to reclaim his weekends to play golf. But I sure hope that if he does decide to make a change in his life, it is for a good reason such as that. If Bob were to "retire" because someone trashed him, he would be leaving for the wrong reason. If this vocal minority causes Bob to retire, they will have achieved their goal.

Bob has provided a great deal of education and shark repellent for a lot of listeners, and if he has the energy, can continue to do so for even more.

Agreed.

With the pummelling he has taken lately, he may decide to hang-it up.

Who needs the grief, certainly not Bob.

need to find somebody else to trash everyday since you certainly will not have Brinker to kick around anymore

Oh, Don, Don. Say it ain't so, Don. It breaks my heart to think that I could responsible for Brinker getting mad and going home. Actually, I think that those of us who criticize him on these threads are a lot more kind and factual in our criticism of him than he is of his "bad news bears." That's how it goes with market gurus, Don; when they're hot they're hot, when they're not they're not.

Don, I would hope that Bob would hang in there at least till he calls the next bear market. If he left before that time, it would be like leaving the ball game in the third quarter. Bob seems like the kind of man that will finish what he started. Would you not agree?

I always look forward to weekends sailing my boat while listing to Bob
I feel as if I'm killing two birds with one stone, getting my much needed R&R and staying Informed at the same time. I would hope just because a few arrogant SOB's that do nothing but run their mouth would not play any part in his decision to depart from the airways.

Only in the third Quarter.
Greg

Hey Don, sorry to bother you again I just wanted to point something out. Take a look at the trash that badgers Bob...this guy Jim I looked at the threads this nut goes to.."Did Slick Boink Monica" "Clinton's Scandals Is His Corruption The Worst Ever" and "Another Good Reason To Be Married" This guy may not even own any stock... LOL!!! The folks badgering Bob have SH%T for brains anyway. I don't think this would bother Bob in the least.

Don,

Why would Bob be so sensitive regarding recent criticism. Consider how he has been open to trashing others who have made an incorrect analysis.

Regarding: "if I were him, I would be very tempted to take a hike. He surely does not need this, and I will be surprised if he continues past the next few weeks"
+++++++++++++++++++
Dow down big, again, would you suggest those who jumped in at SPY 110 praise him right now?

Be realistic Don, people are losing their shirts right now. If you WERE him you'd close up the market and quit because things aren't going your way, just like Bob who shut down the UTEK thread on HIS OWN SITE (www.bobbrinker.com) because he couldn't control what people said.

<<So all of you will need to find somebody else to trash everyday since you certainly will not have Brinker to kick around anymore if he takes a hike.>>
If only Bob Brinker practiced a little humility without calling people names, he wouldn't be in this situation. JMO.

<<And after reading these boards, if I were him, I would be very tempted to take a hike. >>
I know I disagreed earlier. But, I have a suspicion that you are, in fact, him. Your style is somewhat reflective of his. If you are really Bob Brinker, bravo! Spoken like a true leader! Leaving the ship just when your troops need you the most! -g-

Hi Don,

Apparently some people think that if he can't do the impossible, then what he has to say is not worth hearing. Pretty sad.

If Bob is bothered by the presence of his detractors on certain Internet message boards, I would hope that he would eliminate reading those boards before he would consider eliminating his broadcasting and newsletter activities. And if he wants to play more golf, maybe he could talk ABC into giving him a Sunday evening time slot, or even a weekday evening. Many people already record his program when the time is not convenient. I'd hate to see the still-uninitiated forever abandoned to the sharks, the load funds, and emotion-based investing.

Best regards,
Richard
