Lee,

Futures down a bit more.

I agree with you, that the OEX is probably the best bet getting so close to expiry, but the more prudent move is to wait for the downside and pick up good stocks for the bounce back up.

I was watching the weekend squack box and they were talking about earnings, I think MOT is a great put candidate, they cant put together anything and might dump the closet. Also lets be careful, YHOO has estimates this time, 9 cents.. This isnt easy for them, they cannot suprise by making a profit, I also believe that if they dont get into the teens that there will be some violent profit taking, to the tune of 20 or more points, maybe alot more. If one wants a wild ride and has a bit of money to play with, getting some YHOO puts near the time they report may just be the Big Kahuna.. seriously. On the other hand, if YHOO gets in the teens, it will be off to 200 again.

My pal was moaning over the fact that a few years ago he and a pal were looking at YHOO at 4 bucks.. Now that isnt a funny thing.

There are still plenty of stocks to put out there. If anyone in the boxmaker group misses, DELL will be killed right along with the company. Look at the past, when HWP misses, DELL drops. I am not positive on CPQ's quarter, they have a reason to miss.. And IBM has not impressed me the last 2 quarters. They look ripe to be killed.

just a few thoughts. I gotta hit the sack.
