He's [Addi] like a hypnotized lemming now..........following the din to the rim........

E, I've always loved you analyses and comments, but on this score I must comment.

Addi is one of the most insightful and forwarding thinking people I read on these threads. Clearly a leader and not a follower. He sees right to the heart of the matter.

Our government is in crisis and a minority of powerful people are effectively creating a "coup d'etat" in the US. The attempt is to remove or render ineffective the democratically elected President of the US because his policies do not fit the right wing conservative minority -- which unfortunately -- has taken root in the Republican party. I have to agree with Addi, the House Leader has said he will ignore the will of the majority of Americans who want this issue ended and do as he choses. The only way to send a message to the Republicans is by voting them out.

The last time I remember the will of the people being so thwarted was Vietnam.

Long live LSI and logic,

Michael

Bala:

LSI mentioned as the 12th of the 40 forces that will shape the chip
industry. Not too shabby:

12: LSI Logic

LSI Logic Corp. has shown an uncanny ability to be close to the forefront in many dimensions simultaneously. The company is well along in employing reuse methodologies. It uses a broad set of modern design approaches and is driving a commercial static-signoff methodology. With strong leadership and good execution strategy, LSI Logic continues to grow and diversify, long after having established itself as the leading supplier of gate arrays in the 1980s.

Still, some on our advisory board cautioned that LSI faces significant challenges before it can make the kind of contribution to system chips that it made to ASICs.

"They are well-positioned to influence the industry as system-on-chip technologies become increasingly important." - Ellen J.Yoffa

Shane - now what we want is strong execution strategy not just good...
