Lehman Bros turns over evidence to SEC - WSJ
NEW YORK, Oct 5 (Reuters) - Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. (NYSE:LEH - news) turned over information to regulators it gathered in an attempt to determine the source of rumors that Lehman is struggling to remain solvent, people familiar with the matter said, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday.

Lehman officials traced the rumors to a London-based publication, sources said, according to the Journal report.

Lehman was unable to link the rumors to any traders or investors who might have been attempting to manipulate the stock, the sources said, according to the report.

Lehman turned over the information it obtained to the Securities and Exchange Commission and the New York Stock exchange, the report said.
