Mason, G.P.,

I fully agree that most of the forward looking news from most of the semi and equipment companies has been quite negative for the past year.

I also believe that even the most optimistic permabull understands that there's a major recession in full bloom for the chip industry.
... and that it's already been fully priced into most sector stocks. In fact, looking at some of the niche leaders being priced well below book, some near or below net cash, the market is expecting an out and out depression for this sector.

So let's say we get a full blown depression lasting more than 2 years, what would you rather own - AMZN or ASYT?

Finally, G.P., the equipment sector is unlikely to recover before the chip sector. With the chip sector being a leading indicator, I feel it's quite relevant to this thread; and moreso than most of the posts on this thread this year. If you disagree, feel free to use the NEXT button. My feelings won't be hurt. ;-)

Ian.
