But isn't that the point....without a fixed basis....valuations are indeed in the eyes of the beholder....as well as being relative...and therefore.....as more than a third of the world's asset valuations have returned to 10+ year ago levels.....so too will we....give or take some premium for quality and a number for true growth in asset value....therefore picking any number between 4500 and 7000 on the DOW, in relative terms as well as historical terms has a common sense if not logical real probability......oooooooooooo I threw in something vaguely statistical there..... or......the "world" value reverts to some mean (even cruel) average.... How's your information on the laws of numbers.......would they apply here?
