What he also might mean is that for now the customer can not click through the banks site to interact with the biller about the content of the bill. This might happen because First Union is not ready to accomodate this. Just guessing.

It seems that there is a significant business here to consolidate billing data on the billers system and send only summary data to CKFR.

Isn't that what edocs, JIT and others are planning to do for billers? CKFR has strategic relations with many of these. The activities are complementary.

It also sounds like the VP feels like his turf has been invaded.
