Hi Blue; I saw that Clinton suggestion more as a lets test the
wind, or beat the opposition to it. Believe me he knows damm little
about the market and was only doing this because of a petition
made by Wall Street.
As much as I jump Greenspam, I will give him credit for being direct
and saying NO he did not think S.S. into the stock market was a good idea. I noted that the day he responded to that question, some
others on the Fed Board jumped up and walked out of the room,
as if to signal him that he had said something out of turn.

While I see congress needs to have an oversight and to impose
limitations, and create rules that makes for a level playing
field, when ever you get Government into making decisions
as to what stocks are bought and sold, and sticking tax dollars
into the market , you open up a can of worms that has no end
to the avenues of corruption. Now instead of reasonable regulation,
you move towards total control.
We already have enough problems with out this nightmare being
added to the soup.
