Didn't AZNT ask (order) the DTC to freeze all their shares there (as part of their shorts cleansing program)? If so, and if AZNT really wants the DTC unfrozen, what's the big deal about just calling and requesting the opposite? This part about "the judge will force them to comply" makes it seem like some other entity had ordered the DTC frozen.

Lastly, if Andy Mann has 4M free-trading shares in the DTC and the freeze is lifted, what's to prevent him from dumping immediately?
