Hi Lucretius Taurus; About that DELL seller against the box... It would have made tax sense if he had two different accounts. That is how us daytraders do it. Typically, one account for the wife, the other for the husband. Or the other for an closely held (shell) corporation.

If you set up that sort of thing, then the tax advantages are real, still, aren't they?

P.S. Us daytraders also don't hold things long term, so we don't end up with tax advantages, anyway...
