It might be worth the time, or not, depending on how much time you have. I actually use several programs that import ascii data, one of which requires that the header be in a certain format. If you actually re-exported them, overwriting existing files, then you will still have to have another software tool to re-write the header. Or, you can do it manually. I export around 4-500 files each day, in several different final formats, so it obviously is going to take more fiddling no matter what. The previous version of QP would simply update existing files. Hopefully, they will once again give us that option eventually.

Your point about fixing bad data and splits, however, is extremely well taken, as the data is NOT always "clean" when received from QP.

It's not obvious that there is a one-size-fits-all solution for this.
