HI Tom; I hate to say it but the down turn won't inject honesty
into the market. It may change the nature of the lies to a more
desperate level. Unfortunately the system is based on deception at high levels, and rule makers by some convention always find a way to
exempt themselves from the rules put on the underlings.

The real nature of derivatives is a scam to allow the creators
a way to "counterfeit" wealth. In short if you obtaine a government
franchise by hook or crook you can legally inject you own
type of money into the system "legally counterfeiting", and
exchange that for Dollars that you can stash away in some
secrete account to fall back on when the big ponzi scam contracts.
