I will look for the Islamic documentation on women's hair. I'm on a break at work, so I don't have this at my fingertips. I have several things to research for Steven also. I'm not a religious scholar but I'll do my best to find the information to support my points. If I find I am mistaken I'll say so.

I agree with you on the four wives. My ancestry is Euro-American, so many generations in America that I'm not sure of all my roots in Europe. I can't imagine it for myself. The scriptures on allowing multiple wives does say you have to guarantee them equitable treatment while pointing at the difficulty of being able to accomplish that; in which case, it would be better for you to stick with one. It doesn't require you to love them equally. That would be impossible for sure.

Muslim women don't cover in their home or when around only other Muslim women. I'm not sure if I read your statement about saving herself for her husband and his three other wives correctly or not. Lesbian behavior is forbidden. If you meant divide her time with her husband among three other women, you are right that would have to be OK. Keep in mind, I know lots of Muslims, I don't know one with multiple wives nor has any of them talked to me about a man they know with multiple wives. Its not the norm or even common. I know there are some cases, there are also some abuses, as with everything else.
