>> Barney Frank in contrast is an intellectual of the highest order. Republicans who have been booked to debate an issue on TV have been known to cancel when they find out that Barney is their opponent.

You can't blame them. I thought that was just because they didn't want to get spit on, not because he is in any way persuasive. Who knows what's in that spittle that flies out of Barney's mouth. I think we'd all prefer to approach him dressed like a dentist, but goggles reflect TV lights.

Barney was on This Week yesterday and failed to answer any of the questions George Will asked him. He couldn't. So they and we got the "Full Barney", a glib version of the usual Dem diversion by lies and misdirection. The use of his intellect to be dishonest. Sounds like his President.

I'd love to see the man who is considered to be the smartest man in the House on TV more often, Silicon Valley Rep. Tom Campbell. Campbell is the professor of law and business at Stanford University Law and Business schools. He early on called for Clinton to resign and favors impeachment and removal.

Frank is also a queer choice to be defending Clinton's tactics since he blackmailed House members who wanted to censure and remove him for his role in running a prostitution ring out of his home and using his influence to protect the illegal operation.
