but I'd guess that the SEC and the DTC don't like it one bit. MAJOR red flag when a small company goes this route, you know.

A penny stock acting as its own TA is not a point of security for an investor. In a case such as this, I would recommend one look at their filings to make sure they are current, look at the fundamentals of the company to make sure they are solvent, learn as much about the character background of the officers, and then after reading their pr's decide if this additional risk with a penny stock is worth that individuals risk quotient. If so, go for it, if not, ask more questions and hopefully someone will provide actual answers.
