<ot> dear Dave, you sez "Shows that there is no Rep. misstep too small and insignificant to be remembered and relished by the Dem media."

Sorry to be vulgar, but the 1st american idiom I learned is "elephant sh*t," so one could infer that the mark is hard to miss <G>. In truth, it is quite unfair to make categorical statement about anything. Afterall, President Lincoln was also a Grand O' Pa. However, I'd also submit that the Speaker is no President Lincoln. He is who he is, in spite of what others wish him to be, even Shield and Gigot of the PBS [yes, another left leaning org <VBG>] fame have to implicitly retract their hi praise of him after he lost his speaker neutrality and dove back into the partisan fray.

But all jesting aside [sorry,] I think we should check "Dallas Morning News" reputation before calling it a dem media machine. If memory serves, its editor shows a remarkable rep viewpoint consistently on PBS [adv apology if I confuse Lee Callum as its editor.] Personally, I don't care one way or another, but, fwiw, that is "Bush" country - and the paper has its reputation to uphold <VBG>.

best, Bosco [to make a crude imitation of Leslie Nielson and Rodney Dangerfield, "sir, please do not confuse me with a donkey, I am a genuine jack*ss <VBG>]

Now yall dang gon' and upset all o us law-abiding Reps in Texas..... don' wanna be associated with any of them few pinko rabble down here....

The DMH consistently pushes the GOP line. After all, this is Bush country, where our next Prez will come from.

Anyway, just to balance the issue, the DMH also ran a cartoon on appropriate punishments for WJC, and one of them showed his facial reaction when told that his next intern will be one Linda Tripp...<VBG>
