Arnie: According to Yahoo market cap at 19 is around 5 billion. So yes the answer to your query is yes and that is probably how they generate their targets. Buy outs usually are on the high side. So the target pricing scheme is kind of like the way real estate folks do it - comparable sales. Of course Vanguard is small potatoes compared to N and N should command some sort of premium for their size, uniqueness and coverage . On the other hand Vanguard poses very little in the way of integration problems for T. The buyer for NXTL would have to be a digitally oriented cell phone virgin. This narrows it down to the usual suspect of WCOM. On the other hand in time NXTL may be larger than T and then who cares about such comparisons - but will I live so long. John

Arnie, I find it esp. interesting that AT&T will pay 1.5 Billion for Vanguard. Vanguard has licenses for only a very small # of people, about a 40th of NXTL's U.S. License. Yes, they only have 6.9 million Pops. I can't even imagine how much NXTL's true worth really is. They wanted Vanguard because they were sick and tired of paying astronomical roaming fees to them for their One Rate customers. NXTL is worth at least 10X to 20X as much as Vanguard. The big boys know it. By the way, I see that O.J. Didit is alive and well on Yahoo. He really needs to be locked up for that type of behavior. I've cut and pasted his posts and sent them to Yahoo and I hope others follow. All The Best! Mike
