But the inclusion rate is growing and has been, the manufac. are responding to customer demand for a product which is the zip, not to say that it will not be the only item they ask for like cdrw, but i see them working together and not one replacing the other...the cost to the manufac. of including a zip is way less than a cdrw and will continue to be for a while and its just getting lower...like i have always said if zip gets in 20% of new pc's over the years that would be great as built in.....and believe it, the zip retail has picked up big time....so for the average joe who buys a 999 pc. you may not think he will go out and get a zip, but its happening and at a price of only 69-79 to include, its becomming a standard....just ask dell, micron, and the mail order cata. that list a zip add on for ANY unit they sell for $79.......got to go for now....talk to you'll in a few days...

>>Anyone care to show me where I'm wrong?<<

Ken -

Sure. Glad to. The fact that OEM Zip unit sales have been steadily increasing with each quarterly report demonstrates clearly that you are wrong. All the reasoning in the world is useless if it ignores hard facts.

I can't predict what will be reported next week, but I'd be willing to be that trend continues.
