Quiet period. Can't say much. However, felt like he could have given a little insight into FY99 without compromising current Q expectations. Also, I would like more information on how well Bay is knitting into the total picture for NT. Specifically on the earnings front. Unless CFO/CEO outright lie the earnings should meet expectations.

He did position the company from a technology perspective. I agree with what he said about the growth potential for the NT, and, even though shortterm investors don't seem to care, others apparently think NT well positioned as well.

I still think this is a raging buy. Modest P/E multiple for high-growth emerging market and earnings. The keys are data and the merging of voice/data over the next 12 to 18 months. NT is globally positioned to help customers cut cost via new telecommunications technologies going forward. My 12 month outlook is for $60+.
