BigD,

You are completely misguided. How can you possibly compare the German complicity in the Holocaust with the Americans who are not interested in impeaching the President? It's offensive. There is a fundamental difference between turning a blind eye to murder and refusing to jump on the bandwagon to impeach the President. You're just too blinded by hatred and bigotry to see that. Now those are the traits that led to the Holocaust.

<< ... they are putting their personal interests above what is in the country's best interests >>

Sounds like you are taking about the gestapo Republican Congress. There has been a concerted effort to override the majority vote of the American people by removing a democratically elected President.

The world is heading into serious economic trouble. Economic problems are preludes to war.

And yet, your Republican friends are focusing this country on their personal interest to gain control of the White House, regardless of whatever the damages are to the world or this country.

Just a question for you. You seem to dislike the American People's "personal interests". I take it that you consider personal interests such as health, education, jobs, environment and peace less important than crippling this country thru a two year impeachment fiasco.

Jr. eh.. glad to see I'm not the oldest here... Your point on Hitler wasn't ignored and I understood the point.

We could degrade this conversation by bringing in a hundred analogies that have minor comparative value but which generally don't have a lot to offer.

We could compare the Republican effort to get rid of Clinton to the Roman Senate while Ceasar was getting getting it on with Cleopatra in Egypt. We could make comparisons of Starr's religeous/personal? beliefs about Bermuda shorts to Moslem clerics who forbid the showing of faces in public... but what's the point of bringing Hitler into the picture or any of these oblique comparisons except to infer some association which is poor and crude.

As to the grit of your argument, that some believe Clinton should stay in office because we have enjoyed a good economy, I agree.. its not a good reason. But also ask yourself how many company's CEO's you've looked at carefully, especially if they are providing good returns to the shareholders. When your stock is doing well do you ask? I personally feel Eisner has taken the shareholders of Disney.. he's taken more than he's been worth.. I feel that many in the electronics industry have become multi millionaires on research you and I funded through taxes. You'd respond that these people aren't the leader of the country so it doesn't matter. It matters.. they're the leaders that feed the business morality and leadership we bring to the world.
