I must say that the Quantum tech support was accessible and supportive. BTW, Scott, I'm running Win98, not NT. When I run Need for Speed3 I get the error message:

Exception caught!
EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION: read attempted @0XFFF....then a lot of hex address stuff.

In Quake2 I select hardware glide and it tries to change but defaults back to software acceleration.

These, I'm pretty sure, are driver related and not my machine setup. I don't really notice the 2d performance increase since I replaced a #9 revolution 16Mb that Tomshardware showed to have superior 2d.

Don't get me wrong, I'm pleased with the card but I am disappointed that I have to wait a little longer to improve my digitized reality. It's like getting a new pair of glasses, I got the frames but have to wait on the lenses.
I guess I'll play Rush or NFL blitz while I'm waiting.

Tony

Great bunch of cool data on the industry including recent OEM wins and console units sold...

Pat

P.S. Gateway looks pretty absent from the OEM announcements but Compaq is pretty much covered.

P.P.S. I love up days in the face of danger like this. From my experience it usually shows that somethin' is brewin'.
