Colt Receives Best Customer Service Award from TUA During UK Technology Week
LONDON, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- COLT Telecommunications (COLT) has won one of the newly created Telecommunications Users Association (TUA) awards to commend best practice in the Telecom's and IT industries. COLT won Best Customer service in the Telecom's category and was presented with the award on 6 October at Earls Court, London, during UK Technology Week. Voted for by a panel of judges representing industry and the media, this TUA award mirrors COLT's success with the other main UK Telecoms users' body The Telecommunications Managers Association (TMA) who earlier this year awarded COLT the TMA Chairman's Award for Quality.

Jonathan Watts, Managing Director of COLT Telecommunications, commented: ''This award is for everyone at COLT, because everyone here puts the customer first. It is an honor for us to receive further recognition of our commitment to our customers, who are, of course, the best judges of service quality.''

Commenting on the awards TUA Chairman Bill Mieran said, ''We felt that our members needed some benchmarks of excellence in the ever-changing telecommunications market and these awards were designed to recognize exceptional achievements and standards. I am delighted that COLT has won this award.''
