Good morning

For information about the 7% debentures issued last year, visit the Dayton site at dayton-mining.com

They trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the current offer is US $ 40.00. This means that you pay US $ 40.00 for every $ 100.00 face value debenture.

It is not a bad bet if you have faith that Dayton will be around in three and a half years from now. You must remember that Dayton reserves the right to redeem the debentures with new shares instead of cash. If they do, it may depress the market for a while in 2002 with all these new shares coming on the market.

For more information on the debentures, you should e-mail the good folks at Dayton. They will be pleased to send you a copy of the prospectus.

Good Luck and have a very nice day.

Pierre
