Johnathan, Real Christians wouldn't bash Evangelicals. Evangelicals want to share their faith as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28, where He said we are to go and make disciples of Christ in every nation. Do you feel we should abandon what we've been told to do by the person we've committed our lives to and trust with our eternal salvation?? I won't stand before you on Judgment Day. I will stand before God, as you will. And I desperately want Him to say, "Well done, good and faithful servant" as the Bible says He will say to those who have served Him. See, you won't answer for anyone but you, so do you want to stand here and say, "Some evangelical Christians didn't do things right, so I decided not to go with this thing at all. I lived my life the way I wanted and spent my time talking bad about them." Then the Bible says He will say on that day, "Depart from Me, I never knew you." See, He has to KNOW us, and we must KNOW Him. You seem to know a little about Him, which we all know just a LITTLE knowledge is quite dangerous. But you obviously don't KNOW Him as Father, or you would be desperate that no one on Earth go to Hell when they die. Hell wasn't created for us, it was created for the Devil and his demons. But God will not force you to follow Him, we must choose because true love must be chosen. The Bible says to examine yourself to see if you are really in the faith. So I challenge you, ask God if you are really His child. Do it now. If you don't feel perfect peace and rest inside, you've been fooling yourself. Look at your life and your actions, are they unselfish? See the root of all sin is selfishness--name a sin! Stealing? Murder? Slander? Lying? All for self, not caring about who they hurt. So if you are characterized by selfishness, which could be as small as simply caring more about yourself than you do others, you don't have Christlike behavior. And the Bible says you will know a Christian by two things, by his love and by his behavior, just as you will know a tree by what kind of fruit it bears. Check your fruit. You don't seem too loving to me if you dislike people who want to spread the Good News that Jesus loves them in an increasingly unlovely world. If every Christian is not interested in sharing his faith, I question his commitment to Christ and his salvation. That's not a denomination, that's the Bible.
