Anyone check out the business section of the USA Today? Cable modems have all but been declared a winner by industry pundits as the method consumer will chose for faster internet service. According to the article and that of a study by Forrester Research, DSL will limp behind. Cable modems will bring the net to your home at speeds of up to 100x faster thana 28.8 modem.

Projections according to the study:
Cable Modems/
Year Millions DSL
1998 .7 25,000
1999 2.0 200,000
2000 4.3 400,000
2001 8.2 1,000,000million
2002 13.6 2,200,000 million
