Serge Collins. Gold is Kaput! But, what a wonderful commodity for gathering the collective mood of the day. Oil is the leading indicator of inflation and/or deflation. Nothing, however, extracts the emotion of the investor like gold. Notice the intense amount of emotion expended on this thread waiting for gold's swan song. I learn much about the human component of today's market by simply sensing the leaning of this thread.

"It will continue to be used to make jewelry, coins, Olympic medals, china, pens and other assorted objects of affection but as a backing for currency or a safe haven from the ills of the world, gold is no longer, and will more than likely never again be, a metal to protect your wealth. "

All this demonitised junk constituting 15% of EMU reserves? They want it I want it too..You can have Canadian loonie or Australian Dollar (demonitised already to large extent)

<<you can't eat it>>

I was just sitting down to a late night snack of US Dollars when I noticed an unbecoming stain on a Benjamin Franklin. Kinda lost my appetite.I think I'll stick with gold for now.

So you are saying that the USA in one generation wiped out 6-9,000 years of the gold standard?

That a bankrupt worthless currency will make investors ALL OVER THE WORLD forget about gold?

You are one ego-centrist dude.

ROFLMAO........
