The EPA requires reports be filed with them weekly on each tank showing that they are being monitored on a daily basis. EPA will be even more vigilant in 1999 and beyond because tank upgrades have been

and for $450/year the property owner can purchase a handheld computer, which... reads the data from the CAPSCANs. Using the handheld computer and a reverse 1-800 number a major jobber can have inventory data on his desk the following morning.#reply-5920311

sooooo...the station owner, digitally records the information on the handheld computer (I assume similar to the handheld devices that the utility companies use nowadays) and can electronically send the signal with the data over the phone lines and then EVDS will send a computerized reading to the EPA?...this is great!!!...definitely well worth the yearly fee.....since I didn't notice an original purchase price of the handheld device, is this actually sold to the station owner or leased?....If sold, wouldn't the progressive years have a decrease in this fee?

Sorry Jeff...the more I dig the more I like but will be putting you to work answering questions I'm coming up with...gee, sure is easier when a person actually sits down and reads the material presented... hahahaha...not to worry, I'm just getting started.
