The scary part is the MEDIA is believing and eating it all up...The MEDIA is going to cause a panic.

The folks on this thread who claim Y2K is a hoax have yet to explain two simple phenomena:

1) Y2K Consulting Services stocks have done extraordinarily well (Cap Gemini, Keane, etc.) over the past 12 to 24 months. The fact that Y2K _product_ stocks have tanked indicate - quite simply - that there is _no_ silver bullet (a disturbing portend by itself).

2) Some fine intellects (e.g., Alan Greenspan, Ed Yardeni, among others) have confirmed the seriousness of the problem. I daresay their opinions should be valued far more highly than any expressed on this thread.

Any explanations?
